Program areas at Wild Path Collective Incorporated
Regenerative landkeeping & agriculture - our organization acquires, rejuvenates, maintains, and conserves lands donated, gifted, or purchased by us. We steward Wild, rural, and urban lands under convservation easements that support ecology and culture.in december of 2022, Wild Path Collective (wpc) worked with the nina utne and the utne family to conduct a land donation to our organization. This process included developing a conservation and cultural easement which was placed on the land. The title to lily springs farm in osceola, wi donated to wpc.throughout 2022, wpc engaged in regenerative forest and agricultural work at lily springs farm, as part of an early access agreement established with the utne family who held title to the land. 7 of our members volunteered their time to maintaining an orchard on the land, hosting ecology, agroforestry, and farm/forage product making education programming for racially marginalized youth and adults, and also providing groundskeeping and forestry services to maintain quality of trails, campgrounds, and recreational spaces on the land. We hosted in total 20 bipoc youth and 12 bipoc adults for these activities. We also hosted Collective work days where community members volunteered time helping us to care for our orchards and forests. We hosted 2 work days per month. 50-60 participants attended over april-october.
Environmental, folk, & ecological justice education - Wild Path Collective inc intends to produce educational programming for youth and adults that fosters a healthy relationship with local ecosystems and fosters skills in regenerative landkeeping.
Respite & relief programs - we provide access to the green, natural, and Wild spaces we steward for ceremonial, recreational, and healing, use by bipoc communities and other disadvantaged populations.wpc also provided space for an intergenerational interfaith nonprofit to have retreats. During 2022, a total of 18 people -6 bipoc youth, 5 bipoc adults, and 7 white adults had individual or Collective retreats (ranging from one half-day to 3 days) on the land. In 2023 wpc offered more access to our lands for retreats, respite, recreation, and ceremonies such as weddings.
