Program areas at Wildwood Programs
Wildwood school - Wildwood school is a private, not-for-profit day program for students between the ages of 3 to 21 with neurological impairments, complex learning disabilites, autism and other neurologically-based developmental disorders. Students are accepted on a rolling admission basis through referrals from their school district's committee on preschool special education or committee on special education. Wildwood school served 232 students in 2022-2023.
Day habilitation - "day hab" provides an environment within which participants can be involved in meaningful activities that allow them to grow and learn, pursue personal goals and interests, gain greater independence and make a contribution to their community. Consumers participate in a variety of activities each of which meets specific goals for the individual. Wildwood's day hab program served 176 participants in 2022-2023.
Residential services - Wildwood's residential Programs serve individuals with all levels of disability and are designed to provide individuals with the highest quality services while providing the feeling that where they live is truly home. A partnership is established between Wildwood staff and families to insure that the residents' two homes work in concert. Staff work closely with individuals and their families to individualize the experience of each individual by taking the time to understand the needs and preferences of those we serve. Wildwood's residential Programs served 330 individuals in 2022-2023.
Self direction - Wildwood Programs, Inc. Provides fiscal intermediary services for about 343 individuals receiving self-direction services under nys opwdd. This program allows an individual with developmental disabilities to choose their services under a predetermined budget amount set by new york state. As the fiscal intermediary we are responsible in providing the services that individual chooses to use under their budget. Such services include, respite, community hablitation, job coach, and individualized goods and services.
