Program areas at Wilmington Works
Eat Sleep Shop Local : Seasonal downtown shop local promotion. We produced print material and sponsored advertising to encourage tourists and residents to shop small businesses. Benefit to business owners and their employees via stimulating activity in the area. 200+ owners and employees benefited.This event was supported in part sponsorship by the towns of Wilmington and Dover in the amount of $6,000.00
Village Strolls - Over the summer, we a Village Strolls to encourage residents & visitors to explore downtown. Each stroll featured interactive themes designed to engage participants and bring them into our local businesses. This event was supported in part by the Town of Wilmington.
Business Workshop - We offered a free workshop to our local businesses with three segments on branding, marketing, and photography. We had owners/employees from 7 Wilmington businesses attend. This event was supported by a grant through the state in the amount of $7,836.
Dog Friendly Downtown, throughout the year we refill the dog waste station with bags and remove all trash.
