Wisconsin health Literacy (whl), a division of Wisconsin Literacy, focuses on providing health education to individuals with low Literacy skills and training doctors, pharmacists and clinics on how to provide health information in a health Literacy way. This enables individuals within the community to better understand and act on health information. The primary focus is on covid-19 information. Whl worked with 14 community-based organizations to provide easy to understand covid-19 information from trusted community leaders. Whl continued its project, adopting a patient-centered prescription label. Phase iv of this project focuses on health care system adoption of patient-centered, easy to understand prescription labels. Finally, whl provided workshops on diabetes, mental health and coping issues.
