Program areas at Wisconsin Troopers Association
The Wisconsin Troopers Association, Inc. is organized and operated for improvement of the conditions of those employed as Wisconsin Troopers, inspectors and police communication operators, including supervisors (first line supervisors through superintendent) and retirees, the development of a higher degree of efficiency in such occupation and foster activities which promote law enforcement and public safety and the good of the community. The Association oversees the publications of Wisconsin trooper magazine and provides services to the benefit of its membership. Membership in the Association consists of all members of the Wisconsin state patrol and Wisconsin law enforcement Association who desire such membership. To this end, the board has authorized the support of various programs, including a scholarship fund, benevolent fund, art and essay contest, special olympics, seatbelt educational programs, district donations and representation of the Association at the national Troopers convention. Some of these programs have benefited the general public, and, by doing so, have enhanced the image of the members of the Association.
The Wisconsin Troopers Association represents membership on legislative issues important to transportation safety, represents members at conferences, such as national Troopers coalition, and provides monetary support for philanthropic programs within the Wisconsin Troopers benevolent foundation.
