Animal welfare and rescue - located in the mountains above los angeles, the organization has a 165-acre facility that serves as a safe haven and home to 38 rescued wolves and Wolf dogs who have been subjected to illegal ownership, abandonment, and abuse. The organization pack services team provides one-of-a-kind care and enrichment to the Wolf pack, who become ambassadors of hope to all who witness them. The facility is an a-rated and licensed with the usda la county dept of animal care and control for the rescue and lifetime care of wolves and Wolf dogs. All animals under our care have an individualized health and behavioral plan that meets each animals needs. This plan is constantly revised and updated.
At risk youth and empowerment - for the past 12 years, Wolf connections multi-session empowerment programs have transformed the lives of young people in the antelope valley service area 1 who collectively experience a disproportionate rate of poverty, foster care, teen pregnancy, gang activity, and incarceration. The programs offer youth access to non-traditional healing modalities, as well as meaningful connections with peers and adult mentors. Participants connect with Wolf teachers who have been misunderstood, mistreated, and oppressed. In each others eyes, humans and wolves recognize themselves and embark on a collaborative journey of Connection and healing trauma. The organization served approximately 2500 youth and adults via our on - site empowerment programs, our largest impact to date. Community engagement and empowerment - as the global innovator in facilitating the restorative human-animal relationship, the organization engage generations of people to connect with their inner resilience and inherent role in the ecosystem through an integrative, non-traditional program created called Wolf therapy. Embodying personal power, self-awareness, and self-regulation, this program engages humans to tap into our ancestral Connection with wolves and find our unique and collective howls. The organization stand as allies to wolves in the wild as they bridge essential conversation around human empowerment and the natural world, creating global impact. During 2022 the organization held over 48 private, semi-private visits and community events, serving over 1500 people. These visits allow a unique experience for visitors, to both immerse themselves in nature and learn the resilience that the wolves stories inspire.
