Education, resources & support - wipp provided education, resources, research, and support to equip Women entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive in an ever-changing business landscape. Wipp collaborated with american express and the sba to deliver challengeher, a highly sought-after educational program about federal contracting. In addition to a series of webinars, educational events were held in houston, tx, phoenix, az, chicago, il and silver spring, md. Wipp led the small business saturday coalition consisting of 163 organizations, 281 federal government supporters and 716 local governments dedicated to supporting small businesses.
Membership & advocacy - in 2023, wipp serviced 1,650 members, who had free memberships through affiliates. They also serviced 500 dues paying members. Services included a national annual conference, blog, monthly webinars, several small local events, weekly emails regarding advocacy alerts, procurement opportunities, and government legislation. The attendance at webinars was 5,000+ and attendance at smaller local events was 1,600+.
Annual business summit- wipp held its annual business summit consisting of educational sessions, featuring dynamic subject matter experts (smes) delivering game-changing programming and training on matters of importance for Women business owners. Attendees learned essential insights to help women-owned businesses thrive in today's competitive landscape, how to build strong networks that foster collaboration, support, and growth among Women business owners, and knowledge and resources to drive positive change for their businesses. The summit was held in philadelphia, pa in conjunction with nbic unity week.
