Hall of fame the Women in Manufacturing Education Foundation's (wimef) 2023 Women in Manufacturing hall of fame induction ceremony & gala was held september 26, 2023 in san diego, ca. The event honored ten inductees who have made outstanding contributions to Women in the Manufacturing industry during the course of their established careers. More than 230 guests attended the event.
Empowering Women in production program (ewip)- the Women in Manufacturing Education Foundation launched the empowering Women in production program in 2021 to support the development of Women in production or shop-floor roles at Manufacturing companies. This powerful program's goal is to impart core professional skills for success in Manufacturing environments. in 2023, 210 people participated in the ewip program which includes asynchronous learning, one-on-one coaching, a strengthsfinders skills assessment, and monthly peer networking.
Virtually learning series in 2023 the Women in Manufacturing Education Foundation delivered monthly 60-minute virtual learning webinars for their members as part on an ongoing virtual learning series. A total of 6,196 people registered for the program in 2023. Average registration remains at over 400 participants each month. All of the monthly virtually learning sessions are recorded and available on-demand year-round by members. Online views of the recorded programming increased by 23% over the previous year with 2,538 views in 2023.
Leadership institute for Women in stem and Manufacturing (liwsm) wimef partners with case western reserve university's weatherhead school of management to produce the liwsm program. in 2023, 21 participants graduated from the program. The comprehensive curriculum includes topics ranging from negotiations, influence, and effective communication to managing multiple levels of strategy, and the programming includes coaching, peer mentorship, and a facilitated skills assessment.
Management development program (mdp) this program provides new and aspiring supervisors, managers, and team leaders who have three or less years of experience with training to develop skills that are necessary for managerial success. in 2023, 57 people participated in the mpd program, a 78% increase over the previous year. With expanded class sizes, the program included new elements this year including one-on-one coaching and a facilitated disc skills assessment.
