Program areas at Women in Music
Education. Ongoing educational events in the form of virtual and in-person panels, skill-building workshops, webinars, conference programming, and career-development initiatives benefiting thousands of members and partners around the world. Wim also launched chapters at world-renowned educational communities like wim nyu, wim drexel, and more.
Diversity & inclusion. As a leader in gender and diversity programming in the Music industry, wim hosts ongoing programming to reach underrepresented and marginalized communities. Highlights of this work include wim's participation in the be the change 2023 gender equality study, our events like hip-hop at howard university, our ambassador program which highlights a diverse group of Women leaders in the industry, and summit speaking events about building and sustaining an inclusive workplace culture.
Community and career development. Events benefiting attendees directly by building community and providing resources around career development. Highlights include our wim summit career fair which featured companies presenting opportunities to wim members, and our quarterly mentorship program, which matches diverse candidates with industry mentors to guide career growth.
