Women of Strength Nevada

Housed 9 homeless women and 5 children in our transitional living facility Services provided are: shelter food utilities clothing shoes personal care items 4 homeless pregnant women enrolled in high school to obtain diploma 3 vocational school 2 in college. 14 clients enrolled with Nevada Medicaid for healthcare benefits 9 clients received SNAP benefits 3 clients received WIC benefits 4 clients received transportation referrals 9 clients received medical care for OB GYN appointments 3 clients received general practitioner medical care 3 clients received dental care 10 assessed by Clinical Supervisor for mental and behavioral health services 10 clients attend in-house workshops for financial management budgeting readiness for the workplace life skills nutrition and parenting and birthing. 2 clients referred for childcare through Nevada Child Care Fund.

Our food pantry distribution center provided services of food clothing shoes household items personal care items furniture toys bicycles and other necessities to more than 80,000 food insecure individuals and families in Las Vegas Nevada Clark County and surrounding communities.
