Program areas at Women's Educational Center Cambridge Women's Center
Drop-in resource and support Center. This included: use of the Women's Center for refuge, emotional support and assistance with computers; resource information; use of the kitchen, computer labs, phone, fax machine, copier, art room and lending library; material goods, including t passes, prepared food; toilet paper, hand warmers and other material goods.
Educational and support programming - groups included trama support group, spanish-english conversation, 65+ discussion group, writing and journaling workshops, knitting, sewing, and art classes to name a few.
The survivor theatre project's mission is to empower survivors with tools to heal from sexual violence through artistic expression, social justice activism, community and empowerment. It offers art-based workshops, healing resources, and artistic mentorship to black, indigenous, people of color (bipoc), queer and trans-folk, women, non-binary, and disabled survivors who seek healing, support and affirmation. The survivor theatre project is supported by state and local funding organizations and by committed donors. Cambridge Women's Center is the fiscal sponsor.
