Program areas at WEOP
A core program the Advancing Business Opportunities Ventures & Enterprises ABOVE provides specialized programming for self-employed and women owned small businesses. ABOVE program components targeted for underrepresented women of color include technical support proprietary federal and contract training sessions; webinars to over 2,500 women annually; business resources and tools to 4,400+ subscribers; online membership portal with over 650+ members; and builds an ecosystem of corporate and private sector collaborative partnerships. Strategic Partners serve as a referral source to link participants to grants loans contracts business opportunities and mentors.
Economic Equity Business Forums Civic Engagement WEOP coordinates two annual Women's Economic Equity Business Forums in March and October reaching over 600+ participants. The events bring together multi-cultural women for insightful conversations on leadership business and critical issues. Other activities include special classes workshops and seminars specifically tailored for women-owned businesses to raise awareness about the importance of civic engagement. Online resources and tools are available through social media platforms
Building Access to Security & Economic Empowerment BASE The BASE program includes a series of financial empowerment forums and specialized workshops facilitated by financial professionals CPA's and banking professionals. The program impacts over 250 women entrepreneurs and garnered the support of twenty-five financial professionals. Participants network with professionals and acquire critical financial information knowledge about wealth building building business credit and how to prepare and access capital.
