Program areas at Women's Transportation Seminar Foundation
Scholarships - The WTS Foundation awards scholarships to women who are pursuing careers in transportation through undergraduate and graduate programs. The scholarships are competitive and based on the applicant's specific transportation goals, academic record and transportation-related activities or job skills.
Conference & Education - WTS offers its flagship Transportation YOU conference--an opportunity for select Transportation YOU participants from across the country and their mentors to gather to experience once-in-a-lifetime tours, meet-ups with White House administrators, and cool challenges and breakout sessions. Every annual Transportation YOU DC Summit offers attendees with a chance to meet college representatives and senior administration officials, including the Secretary of Transportation and explore the White House or US Capitol, local airports, the DC Metro, and other transportation hubs. This dynamic program provides experience with engineering challenges, professional development programs, and networking events, and participants learn about college opportunities, core transportation development components, such as accessibility and livable communities, and career planning.
