Programs & Initiatives WANGO conducted a survey on human security for NGOs with the World Academy of Art & Science (WAAS) in partnership with the UN Trust Fund for Human Security (UNTFHS) between February and March 2021 in which more than 210 NGOs in WANGO's network participated. The WANGO Awards Program presented its first Tourism for Peace Award in a ceremony held in Saudi Arabia on June 9, 2021. Events WANGO was a partner of the first "Reuters NEXT" online summit organized by Reuters Events, part of the Reuters News division of Thomson Reuters, from January 11 to 14, 2021 to examine the most critical challenges facing the world and find solutions to them. WANGO was a partner of the "WAAS@60: A Planetary Moment" online conference convened by the WAAS from February 15 to 19, 2021. WANGO was a partner of and its chairman, Dr. Tageldin Hamad, a speaker at the "Intellectual Leadership Platform: Series 1: Third Sector" webinar, themed, "Repositioning Leadership for Sustainable Economic Growth, organized by The Trans Atlantic Center on March 27, 2021. WANGO and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) collaborated to hold the "Work with USAID" webinar on how nonprofit organizations can work with the agency on May 11, 2021. WANGO was a partner of the "Responsible Business 2021" online conference organized by Reuters Events, part of the Reuters News division of Thomson Reuters, from June 1 to 3, 2021 to explore strategies and solutions on how business can innovate and collaborate to lead the sustainability transition globally. WANGO was a partner of the "Reuters IMPACT" online forum organized by Reuters Events, part of the Reuters News division of Thomson Reuters, from October 4 to 7, 2021 to inspire and drive climate action. WANGO was a partner of the "16th Global Forum on Human Settlements: Accelerate Green Transformation and Innovation Towards Healthy, Resilient, and Carbon-neutral Cities" online conference, organized by the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS) from October 27 to 29, 2021. The event was held in observance of UN World Cities Day and co-organized by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), UN Centre for Regional Development (UNCRD), and two NGOs.WANGO was a partner of the second "Reuters NEXT" online summit organized by Reuters Events, part of the Reuters News division of Thomson Reuters, from December 1 to 3, 2021 to examine the most critical challenges facing the world and find solutions to them.
