World Christian Leadership Conference (WCLC)

The World Christian Leadership Conference (WCLC), founded by Dr. Hak ja Han Moon, affectionately known as Mother Moon, the Mother of Peace, is made up of clergy from varied denominations including Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Methodist as well as other Protestant denominations. Its major objectives is to bring Christian clergy together, helping surmount the many differences by sharing in our commonality and a framework of new and contemporary ideas. WCLC is helping to share a vision of peace and unity as clergy are called to spearhead these initiatives.On the last Wednesday of every month WCLC conducts webinars which serve as a platform to bring scholars and presenters together on varied topics of faith and its application, allowing this discourse to be shared with the larger faith community. Our WCLC Steering Committee meets regularly on the second Wednesday of every month, to share reports from the various regions they represent. At these virtual meetings we also share upcoming plans and programs, as well having a chance to build closer relationships. In May 2023 some of the steering committee members had a chance to participate in a major conference in Korea. The conference afforded us the opportunity, together with the American Clergy Leadership Conference (ACLC) and the Young Christian Leadership Conference (YCLC), to meet in person with members of the Korean Christian Leadership Conference (KCLC) as well as the Korean Religious Association (KRA), who brought Korean clergy representing the world's religions. In July 2023 WCLC had a chance to meet together in person for the first time since the founding of WCLC in December of 2019. At this gathering in Las Vegas, we could share what we have been doing in our respective areas, study, reflect, and get much closer through the many activities that were scheduled.
