World Language Initiative MT

WLI-MT's mission is to make language and culture learning avaialble to all Montanans. In this fiscal year, WLT-MT offered in person and virtual classes to promote and develop multilingualism and cultural awareness among children and adults. Specific programs and projects included: summer camps for grades K-12; in-school programs for grades K-12; small groups for youth and adults afterschool, in the evening and during the lunch-hour; Coaches-Up! providing training to WLI coaches in language curriculum and best practices in world language education; and Community Nights designed for community building and local and state advocacy. WLI-MT also focused on three initiatives in this fiscal year: Bozeman English Learner & Literacy Alliance (BELLA), Arabic, and German.
