Program areas at World Leaders Forum
The World Leaders Forum hosts annual events to generate support for scholarships within two unique programs at Judson University: the Roeser Scholars program which is focused on leadership development and the RISE program which provides students with intellectual disabilities the college experience. The World Leaders Forum also supports other nonprofits in the Chicago area and nationally as well as entrepreneurial and innovative initiatives that benefit students, the community and other partners of the World Leaders Forum.Since 2015, 45 scholarships have been awarded to students to receive financial support for their undergraduate academic career at Judson. Over 1000 students have been empowered by attending and hearing from a global leader. These annual World Leaders Forum events add to the quality of life in Elgin, the Fox River Valley and our region, by bringing internationally acclaimed speakers. These events have provided an opportunity for over 5,000 community members to hear from these prominent leaders and help promote the area throughout Chicago and across the nation.Past speakers have included George W. Bush, Mikhail Gorbachev, Tony Blair, Condoleezza Rice, Felipe Calderon, Newt Gingrich, Howard Dean, Queen Noor of Jordan, Caroline Kennedy and General David Petraeus in November 2021. A new series was introduced in 2019 "Conversations with Mark Vargas" which brings successful business leaders and entrepreneurs to campus. The inaugural guest was Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban.
