Program areas at WorldVentures Foundation
Hug it forward bottle schools - Worldventures Foundation facilitates education and awareness around improved trash management methods via the construction of bottle classrooms called bottle schools. Worldventures Foundation works to support and empower communities in guatemala to build bottle schools through our partnership with hug it forward, a multilcultural organization at the grassroots level in the region of latin america, with an emphasis in guatemala. Bottle schools are constructed using eco-bricks, which are plastic bottles stuffed with inorganic trash. During the project process, entire communities come together to build a more environmentally responsible educational space for their future.
Sumba schools - Worldventures Foundation partners with happy hearts indonesia to provide educational opportunities to children from sumba, barat daya in indonesia. Happy hearts indonesia is a non-profit organization that envisions every child in indonesia has access to education by attending safe and earthquake-resistant schools. Happy hearts indonesia is dedicated to rebuilding schools and restoring hope and opportunity in the lives of children in underprivileged areas. Worldventures Foundation supports local communities in building sustainable and eco-friendly schools and supply them with proper facilities.
Dreamstation - starting in 2010, the nancy lieberman Foundation partnered with the Worldventures Foundation to build high-quality basketball courts for children living in underprivileged communities across the country. The goal of this program is to keep children off the streets and to provide them with a safe and competitive environment where they can develop skills such as teamwork and good sportsmanship. The nancy lieberman Foundation has helped to construct five dreamcourts thus far with basketball courts in frisco, austin, san antonio, minneapolis, and indianapolis. Most recently, actor billy crystal has agreed to help the Foundation fund a sixth dreamcourt in long beach, ny to assist in the city's recovery from the aftermath of hurricane sandy.
