Program areas at Wright-Locke Farm Conservancy

Sold organic produce at the farmers and flowers market in winchester, at our own Farm stand and to local restaurants. Raised lambs for meat, chickens for eggs and goats for pleasure. Operated a pick-your-own raspberry field and raised bees for honey and seedlings for sale to home gardeners. Provided opportunities for local residents to help plant, tend growing fields and harvest.
Conducted week-long Farm based education classes throughout the summer and some school vacations for children in grades k-2 and 3-5. Held afterschool programs in the early fall and late spring. Held classes for home schoolers. Visited local school and preschools with programs on sustaintable agriculture, healthy eating and raising Farm animals. Sponsored adult education classes in food preparation and preservation, knife skills, bee-keeping and foraging, among other topics.
