WV Cant Wait Mutual Aid A Non-profit Corporation

We have two central activities. First our staff provides training and strategy support for mutual aid groups that are meeting needs in our communities where local government is failing. That includes hosting convenings for local organizations throughout the state as well as offering one-on-one coaching and support. We provided this support to more than 70 people this year who attended one of our community organizing trainings received regular coaching from us or who attended one of our safety workshops. We also provide non-partisan governance training to local elected officials and community members who are interested in governance. This take the form of regular workshops larger summits such as our upcoming Governance Academy personalized coaching and place-based planning meetings to identify community concerns. We provided this support to more than 40 people this year who attended one of our governance workshops received regular coaching from us or who attended one of our safety workshops. The primary costs for both of these programs are staff time and the occasional meeting expense food location rentals etc.
