Program areas at Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative Foundation
Community fund grants - wbci community grants are competitive grants that are awarded to Wyoming organizations providing vital Breast health services. Grant funding categories include education and awareness, screenings, diagnostic exams and biopsies, patient navigation, and survivor support services. Expenses include grant management software fees. Fundraising activities provide the revenue allocated out for the next year's grants.
Patient navigation voucher grants - wbci's patient navigation voucher grants are awarded to the Wyoming deptartment of health (wdoh). Once an individual is approved for services, an id card stating they are covered is issued to them. After the procedure is completed, wdoh sends payment directly to the provider. Funded services include Breast Cancer screenings, diagnostic imaging, and/or biopsies. Wbci patient navigation vouchers are available for those in need without restrictions based on income, gender or age.
