Program areas at Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation
The Wyoming Farm Bureau focuses on policy positions on issues established by county Farm Bureau delegates at our annual meetings and placed into our policy book. We initiate or provide information on legislation on a state level that carries out those policies. In addition we regularly inform our members of rules and regulations which could affect their operations so they are aware of these actions. Wyfb staff regularly provide comments on both state and national rules which affect their operations. Areas we focus on are natural and environmental resources, general agricultural issues mainly transportation and telecommunication, governmental affairs and taxes.
All of the members of the organization are eligible for member benefits that are offered though Farm Bureau partners.
The oganization uses a wide range of mediums to inform the members about issues affecting member homes and operations. Wyoming Farm Bureau has worked to create a web presence as well as a deep social media footprint. The Wyoming Farm Bureau's publication Wyoming agriculture is mailed to all of the members 10 times per year.
The organization endeavors to protect the interest of its production members by developing policy at the "grassroots" level and promoting it accross the state of Wyoming. The staff meets with state government agencies to promote a favorable environment for our members. Through mailings, our website, and our Wyoming agriculture publication, the members are kept informed on changing rules and regulations.
