Our mission is to provide only one program or service - temporary apartment lodging for the families of immunocompromised pediatric patients for as long as the child requires treatment at UVA Childrens hospital. The Yellow Door Foundaiton provides free, long term sanctuary lodging for the families of pediatric patients undergoing cancer and transplant treatments. Our single-family apartments offer families convenient, comfortable homes as they fight to maintain as normal a life as possible when confronting severe pediatric illness. In 2023, we also provided meals for the families in need.
