Program areas at YCRC
Ycrc continued to provide service both virtually and in person in 2023 as health and safety guidelines permitted.community mediation services: mediation is a process of dispute Resolution in which one or more neutral parties intervene in a Conflict with the consent of the disputants and assists them in negotiating a consensual and informed agreement in mediation, the decision-making authority rests with the parties themselves. The mediation process is voluntary and confidential. Ycrc received 108 inquiries about mediation services.
Facilitation: ycrc provides facilitation services to engage community members on a variety of community issues including restorative Conflict Resolution and community building.
Training and workshops: training services were provided to the community and to volunteers on different topics ranging from mediation, Conflict Resolution, forgiveness and restorative justice. Training participants in fy 23 were from various counites and states.
Restorative practices: this year ycrc provided restorative services as a part of our contract agreement with Yolo county probation, as well as the woodland police department.
Community outreach: ycrc has made many community based presentations in order to let community members know about mediation, training and restorative justice services. Ycrc also has a very active social media presence.
