Program areas at Young Caring for Our Young
We're proud of what we accomplished in 2022. The kind fund program is one of the most significant additional services we provided, in which we successfully clothed 1120 children in need and became a trusted resource for educators.additionally, here is a snapshot of some of the other high points of service we provided: we assembled and donated more than 10,000 pantry packs to feed hungry children through Our pantry pack event. We supported teen drop-in centers by providing funding and hygiene kits to help homeless teens. We donated more than 1100 coats and an additional $17000 to provide new coats to children in need. We collected and donated backpacks and school supplies to local head start programs as well as to local elementary schools. We collected thousands of pounds of food for local food pantries through Our mazda cast a spell on hunger event. We donated free vehicle one year leases to a davis school district teacher of the year, and to an ogden city first responder of the year. We purchased school clothes for more than 200 children in need in cassia and minidoka school districts in burley id through Our julie's clothes for kids event. We provided thanksgiving meals to more than 100 families in the ogden school district. We provided backpacks and school supplies to more than 1300 children in need in mexico. We sponsored christmas for more than 100 individuals through Our chev sub-for-santa event. We stocked high school community pantries with much needed food for families experiencing hunger. We provided educational support to local teachers through the cache, box elder, davis and weber school districts. We provided funding for encircle house to continue construction for their ogden home which will provide counseling and services to lgbtq+ youth and their families. We provided vehicles and support for parc and the red barn academy in Our community.
