The YMCA Endowment Foundation exists to furnish assistance and support to the charitable and educational undertakings of the YMCA of Greater Houston - both now and into the future. For more than 120 years, the YMCA of Greater Houston has embraced the balanced strength of spirit, mind and body. We have stood for caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. We've put Judeo-Christian principles into practice, and we have met the ever-changing needs of children, families and communities throughout the metropolitan Houston area. Our commitment to living our charitable mission each and every day keeps us strong and focused. Although grounded in our historical values, the YMCA continues to search for and collaborate on new solutions to our communities' needs. The YMCA remains fully committed to bringing our board and staff members, friends, facility members and donors closer to our mission in all we do. The Endowment Foundation exists to ensure crucial dollars are designated to furnish assistance and support to the charitable and educational undertakings of the YMCA today and for generations to come. The assets of the endowment fund are prudently managed for the future, while the interest from the fund is invested in programs and services meeting today's most pressing needs. As a charitable association, the YMCA of Greater Houston depends on philanthropy to meet our mission and the YMCA Endowment is a vital part of ensuring that our values and goals continue in the years ahead.
