Program areas at Young Men's Christian Association of Uniontown Area
Summer camp: the camps provide a variety of activities designed to develop the spirit, mind and body of each camper. Some of the activities include Christian emphasis,character development,sports,craft making,competiitive and cooperative games, guest speakers, field trips and recreational swimming at the ymca. During the current year the ymca provided discounts and scholarships to individuals and their families towards their ymca membership and programs.
Aquatics: the ymca acquatic programs are part of the ymca's overall goalof building a healthy spirit, mind and body. In addition to providing specific swimming and water safety skills, they promote teamwork, self confidence and leadership. Swimming enhances the safety of every child who learns to swim.
Day care: the Uniontown area ymca daycare has been designed according to the ymca's philosophy of development of sprit, mind and body. Every child participates in a combination of structured and non-structured activities.during te summer the "y" kids will be discovering our solar system, oceans and the farm.
