Young Presidents' Organization - YPO Gold Pittsburgh Chapter

2022-2023 YPO Gold learning programthe 2022-23 learning year kicked off with a solid schedule of programming. The Chapter was excited to have plans in place after nearly 2 years of events that could be canceled at any moment. Traditionally, the calendar does not begin until after labor day, but to ensure nice weather, YPO Gold hosted both a golf event/social as well as a jazz musical evening in the summer. The theme for the 2022-2023 year was Gold hits. A nod to john lacarte's love of music and events that would resonate with so many Gold Pittsburgh members. See continuation on schedule o. The fall events included a tour of the brand new state of the art Pittsburgh brewing facility. This was the first event the brewery hosted and the president pulled out all of the stops so members could enjoy tours, samplings and entertainment.the 58th carnegie international was next on the schedule and it did not disappoint. Amazing art, gracious hosts and knowledgeable docents made for a great evening at the carnegie museum of art. The fall continued with the Chapter's version of shark tank, where real entrepreneurs competed for the chance at real investors. A sleep-focused event helped everyone understand the benefits of a good night's rest. And the annual holiday party, a gatsby themed soiree ended the calendar year.in january, the Chapter was presented with a unique opportunity to host dinner and a meet and greet with sting and the Pittsburgh symphony orchestra. In february, along with the iee, both YPO and YPO Gold hosted a virtual program with bill browder and he shared his thoughts about vladimir putin and the unrest in russia. Pittsburgh history was also top of mind in the winter as the group gathered at the heinz history center and learned about the works of david mccullough from ceo andy masich. Chapter members travelled to nashville, Tennessee for a much-needed break from the winter weather and embarked on a musically-inspired weekend full of memorable moments. The end of the year finished up with an inspirational program sharing all of the hollywood glitz and glamour of movies made right here in Pittsburgh. Lastly, YPO Pittsburgh celebrated the graduation of four members who joined the YPO Gold Chapter in the fall of 2023.
