Program areas at Your Own Greatness Affirmed
Conducted another successful year of programming in multiple Montgomery County Public Schools Campuses. We provided yoga and mindfulness sessions for students at each of our partner schools in various forms, including classroom sessions, yoga infused physical education classes, parent and family night, school wellness fairs, after school yoga, and mindfulness intervention room sessions.
Yoga Instructors - We conducted two successful teacher training courses that equipped over 30 participants with the tools to teach yoga to adolescents in educational settings, community centers and detention facilities.
Our yoga program at Watts Learning Center Charter Elementary School significantly increased the number of students it servered. We provided integrated physical education yoga classes for the entire K-5 student body.
