Program areas at Youth Ambassadors
Youth Ambassadors empowers underserved teens, ages 14-18 through social emotional learning, trauma healing, violence prevention, and skill training. Youth Ambassadors served 432 youth in 2023 through summer and academic year programming. Youth Ambassadors teaches self-efficacy through programs during non-school hours when youth are most susceptible to negative influences. Through creative programming, Ambassadors gain the necessary tools needed to continue their education and/or enter the job market successfully. Through specialized training courses, Ambassadors learn banking skills, and fiscal responsibility, workplace parameters, and personal accountability. Students strengthen their skills through training courses such as Health & Wellness, Youth Entrepreneurship, Community Development, Life & Job Skills, Creative Expression.
