Program areas at Youth Empowerment Services / Y E S Council
The annual dream girls conference is specificially designed for at risk middle and high school girls to empower them with strategies and resources to help them make wise, enhancing their mental, social, physical and emotional well being. Served 1,400 girls.
Mentor and peer leadership programs serve 80 middle and high school girls in berkeley, charleston and dorchester counties of sc target those in group homes and foster homes. The program includes: adults and peer mentoring, self efficacy career exploration and interviewing skills, communication skills, team building. The program also includes college peer activities that focus on preparing for college entrance and how to apply and qualify for college scholarships.
