Youthbuild Charter School of California

Ycsc first opened its doors in 2008 to 265 students at three Youthbuild program sites; 57 students graduated that first year. Now in our 16th year, we work with 16 local Youthbuild programs to provide around 1,200 young people with vocational training, counseling, leadership development, post-secondary readiness and an authentic education leading to a high School diploma. Below are some of our significant outcomes:6,120 graduates since 2008despite the pandemic, 77.9% of students enrolled between 2019 - 2023 had positive outcomes (graduated, transferred, or remained enrolled) our one-year dass graduation rate is 76.3%.74% of ycsc students earn more credits per year at ycsc than at their previous traditional high school.82.59% of graduates completed a state or federal job program.
