Program areas at Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau Fund for Ag Education
Scholarships: each year in april, the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau accepts applications for scholarships from graduating seniors attending local high schools. Thirteen individual scholarships were awarded and ranged from $1,000 - $3,500. Several interview sessions by the agricultural Education committee and one board meeting are dedicated to the scholarship process.
Ag program support: the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau makes monetary donations to organizations under special curcumstances, for agriculturally-related purposes.
Training: throughout the year, the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau offers various trainings on all types of agriculturally-related topics for agriculture employees and employers. Examples of training include hazmat, cpr, pesticide application, sustainability, energy use, financial management for Ag businesses, workers' compensation seminars, and many other topics.
