Ywca of the Greater Baltimore Area

Preschool programs - the organization's upton childcare center provided approximately 70 children from low-income families in west Baltimore with affordable, high-quality early education and childcare. the program provides children with breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack five days per week (excluding holidays and 4 staff in-service days). the center also provides after-school care to children from public schools in the Area and participates in Baltimore city's meals program for low-income children. the organization's north county childcare center provided similar year-round care for approximately 25 children ages 2 to 5 in northern anne arundel county.

Ywca school-age childcare - the organization provided affordable before- and after-school care to approximately 300 children at 7 program sites (public elementary schools). These sites were open monday through friday during the school year.

Supportive housing for homeless women and families - the organization's arbutus permanent supportive housing program provided housing, therapeutic case management, and a full range of supportive services to 14 chronically homeless women in Baltimore county, Maryland. Our druid house transitional housing program provided subsidized housing and intensive case management to 21 homeless families with children in Baltimore city. A new program, our susanna wesley supportive housing program, opened in february 2013 and provided subsidized housing and intensive case management for 8 families.
