Program areas at Catholic Charities of Tennessee
Refugee resettlement program, in conjunction with the united states Catholic conference and the u.s. department of state, provides a variety of programs and extensive support services to refugees and their families from many different nations. Volunteers are used in helping refugees get established and arrangements are made by staff for dealing with the governmental and institutional organizations of their new home. Immigration services are also provided to refugees and immigrants with green card and citizenship application assistance.
Social services provides personal counseling for families, individuals, and children experiencing stress or in crisis. We also provide school counseling in several of our diocese's Catholic schools. This program includes 2 family resource centers and provides elder assistance.

We provide job training programs, such as a culinary training academy and a sewing training academy. Our workforce development programs prepare our clients for job openings in curent and growing industries.

This program administers refugee cash assistance, refugee medical assistance, medical screenings, social services, school impact grants and targeted assistance grants to sub grantee agencies across the state.
