Program areas at CET

COMMERCIAL - CET partners with government, industry and foundations to provide outreach, education and technical assistance to businesses, institutions and farms to help them save energy, reduce waste and improve environmental performance. Services include innovative pilot and production scale work in wasted food recovery, energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste reduction and recycling. CET also provides energy efficiency services to existing multi-family homes for customers of utility companies. These services included energy audits with installation of energy efficient lighting and other savings measures as well as recommending, arranging and inspecting contracted insulation and air sealing work to save additional energy.
Retail - cet operates ecobuilding bargains, a used building materials store that accepts donations of used and surplus doors, windows, cabinets, and plumbing and electrical fixtures to save them from disposal and sells them at low cost to help others fix up their homes.
RESIDENTIAL - CET partners with government, industry and foundations to perform innovative pilot programs to help increase energy savings in homes, participation in these practices, and the health and economic benefits to participants. CET also provides energy efficiency services to existing single family homes for customers of utility companies. These services include energy audits with installation of energy efficient lighting and other savings measures as well as recommending, arranging and inspecting contracted insulation and air sealing work to save additional energy. CET also provides technical assistance to builders and homeowners to improve the environmental performance of new homes. Services include plan review, recommendations, inspection and verification, and assistance with participation in incentive and rating programs (Energy Star, LEED for Homes) and code compliance.
