Education: the Museum utilizes their "tread talks" as a tool to make vehicles accessible to everyone. This process allows the Museum to tell the stories of women and miniorities in Automotive history and to address societal issuse such as autism and other challenges. In 2022, the Museum brought in internationally known artist anthony schmidt to talk about his superpower, autism. He is a 14-year-old forced perspective photographer who makes models look real and he told how his focus from the autism allows him to create his beautiful artwork. Educational outreach: the Museum has partnered with the manhattan area technical college to provide education as part of the Automotive repair program by teaching on the history of the automobile through the Collection. The Museum has also significantly increased their outreach and group tours focusing on the history and stories that bring the Collection to life and share the historical significance of the Collection and the way transportation has shaped the united states and the world. Educational enrichment: the Museum is working with a coalition of partners in the education field to develop a s.t.e.a.m. Program for Automotive museums around the country. These include Kansas state university, Kansas state extension, the indianapolis 500 foundation, and the lemay Museum. This program, focused on pre-k 3-12th grade, will go into beta testing in 2023 with the underserved populations in the area.
