Program areas at MOSH
Exhibits - the Museum has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for northeast Florida for 80 years by collecting, preserving and actively interpreting the region's cultural and natural History. In fy 2022-2023, mosh recorded 103,707 paid admissions, with a total of 178,363 served by programs and events.
Planetarium - in october 2010, the Museum constructed a digital planetarium to supplement programming to further its mission of inspiring the joy of learning by bringing to life the sciences and regional History of north Florida. In 2022-23 the Museum presented live and produced shows to the public and school groups.
Education and programs - the Museum also served the community by hosting various programs including winter, spring and summer camps, numerous boy and girl scout events, early learner programs, outreach programs, mosh after dark, and competitions as part of its mission to be a cultural, educational and recreational resource for the community. In total the Museum served over 178,363 people in 2022-23. These included 43,206 school children served through field trips and programs, 20,133 participants in public community programs, and 12,876 participants in educational outreaches and off-site engagements in 16 counties across north Florida and southeast Georgia. 28,599 students served by mosh in 2022-2023 came from title 1 schools.
